Aww, the Cuba Libre.  So simple.  So delicious.

We’re paying homage to the cocktail that made us think being a mixologist was easy by taking a dark ale and aging it on vanilla, nutmeg, coriander and cinnamon sticks to mimic the flavors of Coca-Cola.  The sweet aromatics and flavorful balance of spices amplify that cola flavor, but what’s a Cuba Libre without rum and bright citrus accents?

Aging the base beer on white rum-soaked American oak and a lime heavy medley of lime, orange and lemon peel for two months transforms Cuba Libre into a replica of its namesake.  High carbonation only adds to the perception you’re drinking a fresh rum and Coke and will have your mind playing tricks on you.
