Napoleon called it the Champagne of the north – Berliner Weisse. Ours is called Eclectus and just dropped into the Taproom. Eclectus is a light (3.9%), refreshing, highly effervescent, clean sour German wheat beer balanced not with hops but a slight sourdough bread character surrounded by flavors of lemon and tart apple. Enjoy on its own or with traditional syrups of all flavors and colors in the rainbow. Expect to see and taste woodruff, raspberry, cherry-lime, strawberry rhubarb, and anything else that strikes our fancy. Now about that parrot…
