On the third Thursday of every month\, Peticolas Brewing Company will donate a 15% of beer sales to a local nonprofit. We are also proud to announce that we’ll add bingo. For a $3 donation you get 5 bingo cards. We’ll have two rounds of three games. Bingo will start at 6 and 8pm. \nThis month’s event will benefit Dirtbag Charities. Inspired by the philosophy and passion of a community of climbers and outdoor enthusiasts known as dirtbags who are willing to forgo societal norms to pursue their lifestyle\, they’ve created a charity to bring similarly unconventional people together through unconventional events to give back more to those in need in our community than we could do alone as individuals. \nFounded by friends who share a passion for craft beer\, woodcraft\, tattoos\, roller derby and the outdoors among other things\, Dirtbag Charities was created for those who take the path less traveled. They believe that the path to happiness comes not from what we earn or buy\, but through our experiences and comradery with each other. \nStop by the brewery on Thursday\, December 20th\, from 3:00 until 10:00 for a beer and to play some bingo! Again 15% of beer sales plus all of the donations from bingo are going straight to Dirtbag Charities\, help them make a difference. The beer’s lack of clarity can be traced back to a hefty amount of flaked oats in the malt bill and massive post boil hop additions. Six pounds of El Dorado\, Azacca and Amarillo per barrel went into this double dry hopped Hazy IPA and it’s evident. \nHuge notes of tangerine\, mango and pineapple are immediately present and dominate the forefront. Behind the intensely fruity aroma is a hint of pine which adds complexity to the lingering aromatics. \nDon’t Think it – Won’t Happen rounds itself out when the beer’s pungent aroma pairs with the flavors that come through. Medium/Low bitterness and a light acidity balance flavors reminiscent of the same tropical and citrus fruits that came through in the aroma. Residual malt sweetness adds the final touch\, and the ending perception is a glass of fresh squeezed juice. \nAs increasingly customary with naming our beers\, this one resulted from vernacular picked up during a crew hangout. While enjoying patio beers\, a character known as ‘Popeye’ roamed the streets\, injected himself into our conversation…twice\, and proceeded to repeat the same 6 or 7 lines to us over and over again\, including “Don’t Think It – Won’t Happen.” Although we regularly began using several of his lines from that point forward\, Don’t Think It – Won’t Happen seemed the perfect fit for this hazy IPA. You see\, Michael Peticolas never wanted to and said he wouldn’t brew a hazy IPA. Fortunately\, our crew’s combined ambition to produce a stellar example of this style overcame Michael’s logic of not thinking about it to keep it from happening. Sorry\, Michael (also a proposed name). \nWe’ll have a limited amount of the glassware pictured above for purchase. LUCK at Trinity Groves will be here from Noon – 6pm to take care of food. We remain defiant against such forces and embrace the opportunity to educate and publicly address beer industry inequities – all while keeping the production of world class beer priority one. \nOur seven-year anniversary beer is a strong and aggressive American Barley Wine that stands for our brewery’s spirit and attitude – Don’t Be Scared. While you may have reservations towards confronting a 13% ABV beer with over 100 IBUs\, don’t back down. Don’t be afraid. Our medium bodied barley wine pours with an orange-red hue and an off-white head. This beer’s aroma screams of pleasant citrus\, pine and dark fruit\, making it unabashedly approachable. \nTransitioning from aroma to flavor is seamless as caramelized malt sweetness from a three-hour boil balances out massive amounts of Cascade and Chinook hops. Big citrus and cherry flavors come through towards the middle.  Don’t Be Scared finishes with clean bitterness alongside a touch of alcohol warmth that reminds you of its strength. \nLet’s celebrate our past 7 years of our successes\, failures\, hits\, misses\, trials\, and tribulations. The coming years will undoubtedly present many more challenges\, but rest assured\, this little local brewery won’t be scared. \n\nDon’t Be Scared\nVelvet Hammer\nGolden Opportunity\nRoyal Scandal\nSit Down or I’ll Sit You Down\nCome and Take It\nOn My Way\nA Lost Epic\nMatch Day\nClandestine\nPrime Minister\nTOO SOON\nTurn Out the Lights\nWintervention\nStanding Ovation\n2017 Black Curtains\n2015 Great Scot!\n2016 Great Scot!\n2018 Great Scot!\n2016 It’s Always Something\n2015 Sledge Hammer\n2013 The DUKE\n2014 The DUKE\n2018 The DUKE\n\nSession I Special Tappings \n\nDon’t Be Scared w/ Oranges\nWintervention w/ Vanilla Bean\nTOO SOON w/ Cherries & Mango\nWintervention w/ Raspberries Cask\nVelvet Hammer w/ Rum Chips Cask\n\nSession II Special Tappings \n\nDon’t Be Scared w/ Cherries\nWintervention w/ Raspberries\nTOO SOON w/ Strawberries & Lemons\nThe DUKE w/ Vanilla Bean Cask\nWintervention w/ Cocoa Nibs Cask\n\nEach guest will receive a commemorative 7th Anniversary glass with entry.
