Game Night Dallas has hosted 21 Game Nights this year at Peticolas alone\, and we want to thank them for supporting all of our efforts to bring social gaming to the good patrons of Peticolas Brewery. \nThat being said\, it’s time to go out with a bang. We’re hosting one final Battle of the (Rock) Bands tournament. This one is to determine which band will be the ultimate fake band for this year. Bring out your best friends\, bandmates\, co-workers\, and even band-aids to help you in your battle to conquer the Rock Band stage at Peticolas. \nWe’re looking for up to 12 bands who think they’ve got the skills to be the best plastic guitar shredder\, best fake drummer\, best lead vocalist\, and harmonist. Oh and I guess a bassist too. Your band has to fight their way through the rounds and pick your best songs to get the crowd’s support so you can claim the Rock Band crown. \nWe’ve got all the best equipment for you: Pro drum kit\, microphones\, and stands\, functional plastic guitars. You just need to bring your stage presence\, teamwork and maybe even costumes to help you win. \nWe will post the event schedule as we get closer to the event\, but the main rounds will start at around 7PM. Peticolas’ doors open at 3 and we will be set up and ready to go for band practice at 4PM. Make sure to sign up your band over on Prekindle\, and the best thing is that it’s free! \nPrizes will also be announced later\, but we will definitely have some sweet Peticolas and Game Night Dallas beer glasses to give away. \nTell your friends\, mark your calendars and get ready to Rock! \nThanks again for an awesome 2019\, and we’re excited about some new announcements for 2020. All the while opting to play the long game in hopes of expanding the rights of Texas craft brewers. In celebration of our lengthiest struggle and perhaps biggest victory\, the passage of Beer to Go in Texas\, we present our 8-year anniversary beer\, a Cherry Vanilla Imperial Stout aptly called Worth the Wait. \nOur Cherry Vanilla Imperial Stout incorporates three different varieties of chocolate malt alongside flaked oats to give the beer a velvety body screaming of chocolate and roasted coffee. We utilized vanilla to intensify the mouthfeel and add a touch of creamy sweetness. A blend of sweet and tart cherries intensifies the beer’s aroma and gives Worth The Wait additional complexity on the finish. \nWorth The Wait is perfect to pair with (or have on its own as) dessert. Take your time. Share it with family and friends at the end of a meal and you’ll find that much like the passage of Beer to Go in Texas\, it will be worth the wait. \nEach guest will receive a commemorative 8th Anniversary glass and beer with entry. We’ll have a one-off Anniversary shirt live printed from PINT Services available for purchase the day of the event only. Easy Slider food trucks will be on-site to take care of lunch. Cookies by Chrysta is setting up in the Tap Room with custom cookies to help celebrate. We’ll have DJ BIG J. ALL DAY spinning to keep the party going in the Grain Room. \nNow with beer to-go\, we are canning our anniversary beer for the first time. There are a limited amount of cans and you can pre-purchase either 1\, 2 or 3 four packs in advance with your ticket. If you don’t want to take beer home\, no worries we still offer general admission. Tickets are capped\, and we have always sold out.
