There was something about this light, yet full flavored ale that gave him a feeling he hadn’t experienced with any other beverage before. We aimed to replicate that experience with First Love and give a new generation the same sensation of butterflies in their stomach. For everyone else, we want to remind them why they may have fallen in love with craft beer in the first place.
First Love is a beer designed around memories of soft wheat, gentle citrus and a round finish. A hefty amount of white and red wheat sets the foundation for this sessionable beer. The breadiness of malted wheat, which comes through on the initial sip, is balanced by citrus forward Lemondrop hops. The hops provide a clean finish and give the impression that lemon is infused in the beer. A touch of caramalt and caracrystal wheat adds complexity to this classic style and give the beer its light orange hue.
