We poured the inaugural peach packed cask conditioned version of our barleywine, The DUKE, at the 2016 Big Texas Beer Festival. Our festival crew buzzed with excitement immediately after tapping what was perceived as more of a strong peach ale than a barley wine. Intense peach flavor took to the forefront and transformed the barleywine into something altogether new. Festival attendees agreed and raved about the beer long after it floated. Since then, The DUKE with peaches has been one of our most sought after casks.

Enter the kegged version, Peach Duke – 27 pounds of peaches soaked in 3 barrels of finished beer and aged for 2.5 months. Typically straw in color, this beer is transformed into the beautiful peach color you see below. At 12% ABV, the alcohol remains present, but if you let it breath, the beer transforms into what can only be described as a boozy jam. Peach, peach, peach.
